The 100th day of school this year was unforgettable. As the district responded to an online threat we were placed in lockout status in order to keep all students safe. From there, of course, things got a little wild as we worked to sign out several hundred students in the space of a few short hours. Our office staff and teachers showed amazing teamwork and came together to quickly create and implement a plan to make the most of a tough situation. I want to take the time to thank our parents and community members. You were patient and kind throughout the day. People brought coffee and treats and had kind words for everyone working in the office. Sometimes difficult situations bring people together. Thankfully this threat proved a hoax and no students were in danger...but we can use this experience to hone our preparedness and reflect on improvements to our safety protocols. And we can be thankful for the amazing community we serve!
